The quality of antenatal care in integrated service post of urban and rural areas of Jeneponto Regency in 2016

Abstract
The aim this work was to compare the quality of Antenatal Care (ANC) given in integrated service post in urban area and the one in rural area of Jeneponto Regency.This research was a cross sectional study design. The samples were all pregnant women having ANC treatment in integrated service post in both urban and rural areas of Jeneponto Regency. The samples consisted of 236 respondents selected using cluster sampling. The data were analyzed using computer with SPSS application by means of cross tabulation test. The results of the research indicate that ANC serviced to pregnant women in integrated service post in the urban and rural are respectively the height measurement of 54.5% and 45.5%, balanced body weight respectively 50.2% and 49.8%, upper arm circumference measurements respectively 55.9% and 44.1%, fundus height measurements respectively 46.9% and 53.1%, fetal heart rate measurement respectively 49.7 and 50.3%, screening TT respectively 50.3% and 49.7%, and the provision of tablet Fe 50.0% respectively. The study concluded there was no difference in the quality of ANC services in integrated service post urban areas with rural areas in terms of component height measurement, weighing, measuring blood pressure, fetal heart rate measurement, screening TT and administration Fe tablet. However, there are differences in quality of ANC services in integrated service post urban areas with integrated service post rural areas in terms of component measurement upper arm circumference and height measurements fundus mother in Jeneponto.
