Abstract

The government’s target through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is targeting the portion of new and renewable energy (EBT) in 2025 to reach 23% of renewable energy generation. One of the government’sprograms to achieve this target is through the construction and development of wind power plants (PLTB), which now exist in several places in Indonesia. Wind power plants (PLTB), with their intermittent nature, create many challenges in their operation, especially in large numbers. One of the important things to consider in its operation is the stability of the system. This study aims to analyze various types of generators that can be used in PLTB by looking at the frequency and voltage conditions of the system from the use of the PLTB generator type, which is simulated and also simulating the effect of Distributed PLTB when it enters the system. From the simulation and analysis that has been carried out using the DigSILENT PowerFactory 15.1.7 software, the results show that for the simulation of the PLTB generator type, the Fully Rated Converter type is the best type among the other types that are simulated, the frequency oscillation to steady state is short at 2.10s to 2.15s and the voltage does not decreasedue to the use of a permanent magnet generator and the use of a converter helps to control the active and reactive power of the generator. In the simulation of the entry of the Distributed PLTB, it was found that with theDispersed PLTB, the PLTB will compensate each other for power loss due to different wind speeds.
