Abstract
Makassar Container Terminal is a specific terminal that was built in 2007 to serve container loads. However, since the end of 2018, the number of loading and unloading equipment operated at MCT has declined because it is moved to Makassar New Port, especially in container cranes (CC) with the berthing system at MCT is First in First Out. For this reason, a study was conducted with the aim of determining the level of utilization loading and unloading equipment with simulation method using the ARENA program until 2025. In predicting the level of ship call until 2025, ship call data for 2009-2018 is required by using multiple regression method. To carry out simulations, conceptual design is needed to make it easier for modeling when doing simulations. In conducting simulations using the ARENA program the actual berthing system, , also in this simulation the required data is the arrival time and the service time of the ship at MCT, which is tested with several distribution patterns using an input analyzer. Forecasting results show the level of ship call in 2025 is 1921 units with the utilization rate of loading and unloading (CC) is 85.88% and the number of containers that can be served 654,890 boxes.
