Therefore, this study aimed to examine patriarchal ideology and its detrimental effects on characters in Naomi Alderman's The Power. Using a qualitative descriptive and a feminist methodology, the results showed that patriarchal violence manifested in various forms, including physical and sexual assault as well as murder. This narrative suggested that women empowered by the control over electricity retaliated against men, showing the negative effects of patriarchy extended to both genders. ## Keywords - Ideology - Representation (politics) - Power (physics) - Sociology - Gender studies - Political science - Law - Physics - Politics - Quantum mechanics --- Sumber: Discover Unhas — RIMS Universitas Hasanuddin.
