Abstract

This research aims to determine the correlation of the use of hormonal contraception with menopause age. The type of this study was analytical observational research with cross sectional study design. The samples are all married women aged 45-59 who were menopause in sub district of Sidodadi amounted to 97 respondents. The data were analyzed in univariate, bivariate and multivariate manner using stratification analysis with Mantel-Haenszel test. The result indicate that there is a significant relationship between hormonal contraception use with menopause age (p=0.001). Multivariate test with analysis of stratification (Mantel Haencsel Test) is obtained that menarche age, parity, physical activity, and fitoestrogen consumption do not influence the relationship of hormonal contraception use with menopause age though all controlling variables have value Cochran's and Mante; Haenzsel < 0.05 this indicate that menopause age depends on the use of hormonal contraception with controlling variable.
