So far, the scale distance method of the signature hole combination used to analyze ground vibrations from blasting activities is considered to be quite good in some interburdens which is indicated by a deviation value of less than 10%. However, in some sandstone and mudstone rock types with relatively high uniaxial compressive strength values (26.92 – 33.87 MPa) showed abnormalities/deviation between the analysis method and the actual ground vibration (more than 10%) compared to other areas (11.17 to 14.67 MPa). After performing a regression analysis comparing the UCS values and the variance of the predicted results, it was found that there was a positive correlation between the UCS values and the variance of the blasting vibration analysis using the equation y = 27,142 x 19,876 with value of R = 0.725. So that the UCS value in the rock needs to be considered in determining vibration and blasting design. ## Keywords - Rock blasting - Vibration - Compressive strength - Geotechnical engineering - Structural engineering - Standard deviation - Mining engineering - Geology - Mathematics - Engineering - Materials science - Statistics - Physics - Acoustics - Composite material --- Sumber: Discover Unhas — RIMS Universitas Hasanuddin.
