Q1Abstract
Green open space has become an important element in a sustainable city-oriented urban model. This phenomenon has grown and developed and is widely accepted by urban developers around the world in the last few decades. The study of the city and its relation to Green open space and its influence on the welfare, health, happiness, and satisfaction of city residents with their environment is a topic that is getting a lot of attention. This study seeks to identify the implementation of the social function of Green open space which is termed "social performance", by measuring the level of intensity of use of the landscape elements in it. The measuring instrument used is the scalogram table. This research was conducted by survey method with descriptive analysis. Data were collected by observation and documentation techniques. The results showed that the social performance of the Green open space Karebosi Field Complex was 49 percent, which was still in the low category. Of the nine variables observed, it can be seen that the walking track has the highest performance ranking, while the lowest is volleyball, softball, and non-sports activities.
