Abstract

Tuberculosis is a contagious infectious disease that is one of the ten most deadly diseases in the world. Indonesia itself is the third highest country in the case of the spread of tuberculosis. Therefore, comprehensive supervision is needed by grouping tuberculosis cases by region. The aim is to obtain the results of the spatial analysis of tuberculosis mapping based on age, gender, and socio-economic factors by utilizing data mining and the K-Means clustering algorithm. Then, the spatial distribution pattern is visualized using a geographic information system (GIS). The tuberculosis case data used is secondary data obtained from the Makassar Community Lung Health Center (BBKPM) for the last three years (2018 - 2020). From the results of the analysis, it was found that the highest tuberculosis cases were dominated by elderly men. Meanwhile, the highest spread of tuberculosis was in the Panakukang sub-district which was dominated by adult males. The results of this study can be used to assist in making decisions about tuberculosis case-control planning in Makassar City.
