Preface

Abstract

We are pleased that the proceeding of the 3rd EPI International Conference on Science and Engineering 2019 (EICSE2019) has been published. The conference is an annual international conference held by the Center of Technology (COT), Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University. The 2019 conference was held on September 24-25, 2019 at Engineering Faculty Campus, Hasanuddin University, Gowa, Indonesia. Besides by Hasanuddin University, the conference was also supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) through C-BEST (Capacity Building in Engineering, Science, and Technology) project. The conference was also co-hosted by Engineering Faculty, Universitas Sulawesi Barat. The purpose of the conference was stressed on the collaboration of 3 (three) parties which are University, Industry, and Government (UIG) known as “triple helix” to contribute to the development of a science technopark especially in the eastern part of Indonesia. Therefore, the adopted theme was “Strengthening UIG-Based Research and Innovations in Developing an Advanced Science Technopark”. With this theme, we hope the research results presented and published in the conference could give a significant positive contribution to the acceleration of the development of this science technopark.
