Identification knowledge and skills of farmers in processing waste beef cattle into biogas

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the knowledge and skills of beef cattle ranchers in using biogas. The study was conducted in June to July 2018 on members of the of the Tonronge group. The type of research was descriptive. Data source was primary data and secondary Tonronge group. The population were all members of the Tonronge group of 25 people because the study was a case study, the sample was 25 members’ data. Data type was qualitative data and quantitative data. Data analysis used was quantitative descriptive using frequency distribution. The results showed that the beef cattle farmers knew about biogas technology (77.8%), the breeders knew the types and materials of biogas (27.8%), the livestock know-how in the processing of livestock waste into biogas (33.3%), unskilled breeders biogas (77.8%)
