A small-scale wind turbine generator is usually installed in an isolated distribution network. This paper aims to justify that the intermittent power output of a small capacity of wind power contributes to supply demand without interfering with the output power balance and voltage profile of the network. A d-q axis model of an isolated distribution network is established with connection of a doubly fed wound rotor type induction generator (DTIG)-based wind turbine generation. By using Mathlab Simulink, the simulation results demonstrated that a small-scale of wind turbine generation unit can be freely operated in an isolated distribution network without creating violation in power balance and voltage profile. ## Keywords - Wind power - Turbine - Rotor (electric) - Automotive engineering - Induction generator - Power (physics) - Electricity generation - Small wind turbine - Generator (circuit theory) - Voltage - Marine engineering - Electricity - Electrical engineering - Power Balance - Environmental science - Computer science - Engineering - Physics - Mechanical engineering - Quantum mechanics --- Sumber: Discover Unhas — RIMS Universitas Hasanuddin.
