In Indonesia, the prevalence is 900.90 per 100,000, the second-highest in Asia. Rehospitalization rates are notably high, with 40% of patients readmitted within 90 days contributing to higher healthcare costs. Sodium and creatinine levels serve as crucial prognostic markers for HF, with low levels correlating with poor outcomes. This study aimed to evaluate sodium and creatinine levels as independent predictors of rehospitalization in patients with HF. Methods: This retrospective cohort study analyzed patients with congestive heart failure (CHF) diagnosed at the Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital Cardiac Center (March 2023–July 2023). Data on demographics, medical history, and laboratory results were collected from the Heart Failure Registry and medical records. A 90-day follow-up was conducted to assess the rehospitalization rates and clinical outcomes. ## Keywords - Medicine - Heart failure - Ejection fraction - Internal medicine - Creatinine - Renal function - Cardiology - Cohort - Predictive value - Retrospective cohort study - Kidney disease - Cohort study - Cardiac function curve - Intensive care medicine - Predictive value of tests - Proportional hazards model - Kidney - Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction --- Sumber: Discover Unhas — RIMS Universitas Hasanuddin.
