This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between the Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR) and the Platelet-to-Lymphocyte Ratio (PLR) and estimated glomerular filtration rate (e-GFR) in CKD patients at Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital. This study is important for understanding the role of inflammatory biomarkers in predicting the prognosis of CKD patients. A retrospective, observational, analytic study using medical record data with a cross-sectional design. The samples comprised 320 patients with CKD at Wahidin Sudirohusodo General Hospital, Makassar, from January to December 2022 who met the inclusion criteria. The data were analyzed using Spearman's rank correlation test to evaluate the correlation among NLR, PLR, and e-GFR. This study found a significant positive correlation between NLR and PLR in CKD patients (r = 0.627, p <0.001). In addition, there was a significant negative correlation between NLR and e-GFR (r = -0.348, p < 0.001) and between PLR and e-GFR (r = -0.118, p = 0.035). These results indicate that increased NLR and PLR were associated with decreased kidney function. The results showed that elevated NLR and PLR were closely associated with greater inflammation and reduced kidney function in CKD patients. NLR showed a stronger correlation than e-GFR and PLR, so it can be considered a prognostic indicator in CKD patients. ## Keywords - Medicine - Kidney disease - Renal function - Internal medicine - Correlation - Gastroenterology - Diabetes mellitus - Rank correlation - Positive correlation - Inclusion and exclusion criteria - Medical record - Kidney - Spearman's rank correlation coefficient - Urology - Disease --- Sumber: Discover Unhas — RIMS Universitas Hasanuddin.
