Q3Abstract
Various approaches have been implemented to control ammonia emissions in livestock farming, such as litter management, improved ventilation, the use of additives, and biological waste treatment.Several studies have shown that biological processes such as microbial nitrification or changes in manure pH can reduce ammonia volatility by converting NH₃ into the more stable ammonium (NH₄⁺) Short CommunicationAbstract | Ammonia gas emissions are an environmental problem in Indonesia. The study aims to evaluate the character and properties of Pl-Enz as ammonia gas reducing agents, especially in the laying hen livestock industry. The combination of raw materials consists of: En 1 (100% of Fw); En 2 (75% of Fw + 25% of Vw); En 3 (50% of Fw + 50% of Vw); En 4 (25% of Fw + 75% of Vw) and En 5 (100% of Vw).The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference (p<0.05) between the commercial enzyme (En 0 ) and the treatment enzyme (En 1 , En 2 ,En 3 , En 4 and En 5 ) for all parameters tested (Ec; pH value; Pea,Tot-LAB), and Lac.The results of the analysis of the difference test between treatments showed a significant difference (p<0.05)(En 1 Vs En 2 Vs En 3 Vs En 4 and En 5 ) especially in the parameters Ec, Pea, Tot-LAB and Lac.The final results of the study showed that En₅ showed characteristics associated with potential ammonia reduction and warrants further applied validation.
