This study sought to ascertain the quantity of foot and mouth diseases in cattle and goats. The research was completed in April-May 2024. Data was gathered using secondary data. The Findings of the research demonstrated that the number of foot and mouth disease was 11 cattle and 138 goats, so it is crucial to treat livestock affected by FMD (Foot and Mouth Disease). while the perception variable was assessed on a Likert scale of 1 (disagree), 2 (agree), and 3 (strongly agree). Farmer perception variables encompass breeder perceptions about how to handle beef cattle and goats to prevent FMD, how to differentiate between healthy livestock and those infected with FMD, how to manage beef cattle and goats infected with FMD, and how to assess the impact of FMD on farmers’ livelihoods. Descriptive statistics, such as means, frequencies, and percentages, were utilized to analyse the data. Overall research Findings indicate that farmers who raise beef cattle and goats generally possess a very favourable view of FMD. ## Keywords - Foot-and-mouth disease - Livestock - Veterinary medicine - Perception - Likert scale - Disease - Medicine - Environmental health - Foot (prosody) - Hand-foot-and-mouth disease - Beef cattle - Socioeconomics - Cross-sectional study - Cattle Diseases - Geography - Scale (ratio) - Pastoralism - Public health --- Sumber: Discover Unhas — RIMS Universitas Hasanuddin.
