The water sources used are the Air Hitam River, rainwater, and the Siak River, with the help of two pump houses. Water quality is a major issue, the Air Hitam River is more acidic, while the Siak River’s water is affected by salt from the tides. These water quality issues can affect the productivity of rice yields. The research was conducted by taking 34 water samples spread across the DIR Siak Kiri. The water quality will be studied based on its acidity (pH), electrical conductivity (EC), and total dissolved solids (TDS). The three parameters are categorized based on water quality standards for irrigation. Most samples did not meet these standards: 88% for pH and 79% for EC. However, all samples met the standards for TDS. Correlation exists only between EC and TDS, while pH values are unaffected by EC and TDS. Further research on how water quality and other factors affect rice productivity in DIR Siak Kiri is necessary to unlock its full potential. ## Keywords - Environmental science - Irrigation - Swamp - Water quality - Productivity - Salinity - Irrigation district - Surface water - Irrigation scheduling - Hydrology (agriculture) - Agronomy - Farm water - Water content --- Sumber: Discover Unhas — RIMS Universitas Hasanuddin.
