Carbazochrome, a hemostatic agent, helps reduce bleeding by stabilizing capillaries. Combining carbazochrome with vitamins C and K, which improve vascular integrity and promote coagulation, may enhance treatment effectiveness. This study aims to evaluate whether the combination of carbazochrome, vitamin C, and vitamin K provides better hemostatic control in hemoptysis patients than vitamins C and K alone.METHODS: A retrospective cohort study was conducted on 50 hemoptysis patients in Labuang Baji Hospital, Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Data were collected by collecting medical record data.RESULTS: The study found a median patient age of 47, with most being male (57 patients) and having non-massive hemoptysis (82 patients). Carbazochrome was effective in all groups except those with MDR tuberculosis, bronchiectasis, and aspergilloma, significantly reducing hemoptysis duration (OR 10.92, p=0.00).CONCLUSIONS: The combination of carbazochrome, vitamin C, and vitamin K effectively shortens hemoptysis duration, especially in tuberculosis and lung cancer cases. By stabilizing capillaries, strengthening vessels, and enhancing coagulation, this synergistic approach accelerates bleeding cessation, offering a promising treatment for hemoptysis and improving outcomes. ## Keywords - Medicine - Vitamin C - Gastroenterology - Retrospective cohort study - Surgery - Medical record - Vitamin - Internal medicine - Lung - Lung cancer - Combination therapy - Tuberculosis - Cohort - Vitamin E - Vitamin k - Pharmacology - Pulmonary tuberculosis --- Sumber: Discover Unhas — RIMS Universitas Hasanuddin.
