Arenga palm sugar has emerged as a promising alternative to refined sugar due to its nutritional value and economic potential. Rompegading Village in Maros Regency possesses significant potential for the development of aren sap enterprises. However, youth engagement in managing such enterprises remains notably low. Several factors contribute to this decline in interest, including income instability, occupational hazards, dependence on traditional tools, and a lack of institutional and marketing support. This study aims to assess the extent to which various factors influence the declining interest of youth in managing aren sap enterprises in Rompegading Village, Cenrana Sub-district, Maros Regency. The study examines youth perceptions across five key dimensions: human, physical, environmental, social, and financial aspects. A descriptive quantitative method was employed, utilizing Likert scale analysis, an analytical framework, and systematic conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the social dimension is the most influential factor in shaping youth interest, accounting for 40.18% of the overall impact. This includes limited community support, low levels of group participation, and a lack of role models within the aren sap sector—all of which significantly diminish youth motivation to participate in this line of work, particularly in Moncongjai Hamlet. ## Keywords - Likert scale - Business - Production (economics) - Scale (ratio) - Agricultural economics - Socioeconomics - Descriptive statistics - Economic growth - Dimension (graph theory) - Household income - Palm - Sustainability - Marketing - Community development - Agricultural science - Geography - Clothing - Economics - Value (mathematics) - Agribusiness --- Sumber: Discover Unhas — RIMS Universitas Hasanuddin.
