Abstract

With the number of disasters occurring in Indonesian waters, adequate facilities are needed to carry out the disaster evacuation process. According to accident investigation data conducted by KNKT, flight accident investigation data conducted in 2010-2016 most occurred in Java and surrounding areas, and also ship cruise accident investigations based on the most occurred in the Java Sea with the main causes of accidents being burning, drowning, crashing and collision. From these problems, the right accommodation is needed to carry out the process of evacuation of victims and determine Semarang as the ship’s home base. This study is carried out to solve the problems that exist above with the solution of rescue ship design. The design process of this ship uses a linear regression method or trend curve section approach. This design process refers to ships of the National SAR Agency and patrol-type ships with V-shaped hulls, so the resistance produced by the ships is small. Facilities built on the ship include a treatment room, morgue, fire department, towing hook, heliport, diving equipment, rescue boat, and minor surgery room. The principle dimensions of the rescue ship obtained from the results of the final task are LoA= 60 m, Lwl= 58.18 m, Lpp= 56.23, B= 9.8, H= 3.9 m, T= 2.2m, CB= 0.47 and Vs= 25 knots. The result of resistance analysis was obtained using the Holtrop method of 359.5 kN. For stability based on IMO Resolution A.749 (18) Chapter 3, the ship design meets the IMO requirement for the stability criteria.
