Optimizing SEO Using OpenAI API for Content Automation on WordPress

Abstract

In the current era of information and digitalization, search engines have an essential role in presenting and finding information. Search Engine Optimization is a technique needed to boost the popularity of a website on the Search Engine Result Page (SERP) so that it is easily found by search engine users. This technique includes optimization techniques on the website's On-Page SEO and optimization on things outside the website that can affect the assessment of the website's Off-page SEO. Only websites that are considered quality can appear on the Google search engine results page. This research focuses on on-page SEO optimization by utilizing generative artificial intelligence, which is currently widely utilized in various fields. By using OpenAI API as an interface between WordPress CMS and ChatGPT, we perform prompt engineering to generate Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) by experimenting with temperature settings and max tokens to generate articles with word lengths above 500 words. As a result, prompt training with structured patterns can generate content that meets basic SEO standards like keywords in the title, keywords in the first paragraph of the content, keywords in the URL, and content-length more than 500 words. Articles can be indexed on Google in 48 hours with SEO score> 60.
