Abstract

The online distribution of water alms through smart dispensers in Makassar addresses the challenges of equitable water distribution and efficient resource management. The system utilizes IoT, cloud-based servers, APIs, and an SQL database to monitor and track water donations and consumption in real-time. Data collected from January to June 2024 show that the highest donations occurred in March at DPP Wahdah with 100 units, while the highest consumption was recorded at Unhas in June with 80 units. Monthly variations indicate that water donations often exceed consumption. This study evaluates the system’s success through user data analysis, environmental impact assessments, and case studies across multiple locations. The findings highlight the effectiveness of the system in fostering community participation and optimizing water resource allocation, contributing to its sustainability and positive impact.
