Abstract

Gesture Recognition is one of computer science and language technology's topic, the purpose is to interpreting human movement through mathematical algorithms. In this case it can be used as a translation medium for the deaf to communicate. The main obstacle of deaf nowadays is their difficulty in communicating with not deaf peoples. It happens because there is no compulsory learning at the level of education for not deaf peoples to learn sign language. The research method is Naive Bayesian algorithm, in order to classify 26 alphabet letter of sign language except letter J and Z using feature derived from Leap Motion Controller data. The accuracy level of the test result reached 95%.
