Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the effects of the individual factors, organization and environment on the cultural maturity of the patients' safety in the Medical and Paramedical Officers of Dr, Abdul Rivai Local General Hospital in Berau Regency, East Kalimantan Province, 2016.The research used the cross sectional with the total samples of 104 medical personnel employees chosen using the proportional stratified random sampling technique. The data were collected through the filling uo questionnaires which were then analyzed using Logistic Regression test.. The research results indicated that from the 9 variables studied, such as the knowledge, attitudes, competence, situational awareness, leadership, team work, communication, decision-making, and environment, only two factors which had an effect on the cultural maturity of the patients' safety in the medical and paramedical officers in Dr, Abdul Rivai Local General Hospital, Berau Regency, East Kalimantan Province, that are the attitudes and team work factors. In addition, the cultural maturity level of the patient's safety was reactive.
