Retrofitting is a way of repairing the damage and increasing the ductility of the column. Selection of wire mesh and self-compacting concrete as retrofit material, as it is easy to process and easy to obtain. The test specimen consisted of 3 columns with a size of 300x300 mm, consisting of a control column (KK), a completely retrofitted column (KR-1) and a retrofitted column in the approximate plastic hinge area (KR-2). The samples were cyclically tested based on the displacement control method. The test results show that the retrofitted with wire mesh and self-compacting concrete has a higher ductility value on the approximate plastic hinge area (KR-2). In addition, the retrofitted column has a higher load-bearing capacity than the column that has not been retrofitted. ## Keywords - Retrofitting - Ductility (Earth science) - Structural engineering - Column (typography) - Plastic hinge - Hinge - Materials science - Displacement (psychology) - Reinforced concrete column - Wire mesh - Composite material - Engineering - Connection (principal bundle) - Creep - Psychotherapist - Psychology --- Sumber: Discover Unhas — RIMS Universitas Hasanuddin.
