Abstract
Air conditioning in the accommodation rooms on the ship is a sorely needed thing to provide comfort for passengers and crew, so that they can get comfort while indoors. For that reason, it is necessary to plan an air conditioning system that qualifies the standard requirements for the comfort of the accommodation room on the ship. In this arrangement, the air conditioning that will be used is a central type air conditioner using ducting system. Things that will be discussed are the calculation of cooling load, choosing the Air Handling Unit (AHU) according to the need for the amount of air, selecting the size of square or rectangle duct using the Equal Friction method, and making an overview of the duct system. Thus a good duct system is obtained for the accommodation rooms on the ship.
