Abstract
This paper presents the compressive strength of zeolite-based geopolymer paste produced with various alkali to zeolite (A/Z) ratio of 0.4-0.7; and curing temperature (60°C and 80°C for 24 h) with sodium hydroxide (Na0H) molarity of 8 M. Specimens were tested for compressive strength after 28 days in ambient temperature. The test results showed that A/Z and curing temperature significantly influenced the compressive strength values. The optimum compressive strength was achieved with A/Z ratio of 0.5 and cured at 60° which is about 18.34 MPa. The zeolite-based geopolymer paste prepare in this study can be used for structural components from compressive strength viewpoint.
