Abstract

This article examines the impact of social welfare programmes on poverty reduction in peri-urban and rural in Indonesia. The study analyses this programme through a perception survey of households, which has significantly reduced poverty in peri-urban and weakly in rural areas. It was influenced by access to information, education level, and mobility. Tailoring policies to address specific challenges in rural and peri-urban areas is essential to make social assistance work better. This study contributes to the social welfare insight on government interventions and ongoing efforts to fight poverty and helps policymakers make informed decisions.
