Assessement on Crossing Transportation Tariffs of Gorontalo - Wakai - Ampana

Abstract
Tariff is one of the consideration factors in the shipping business. Ship operating costs and the ability of service users to pay greatly influence tariff determination. This study aims to determine the tariff of crossing transportation for the Gorontalo - Wakai - Ampana route. The method used to calculate tariff for operator is the Required Freight Rate (RFR) and the ability of service users to pay was calculated using the Ability to Pay (ATP) method. The results showed that tariff for economy class passengers for Gorontalo - Wakai route is Rp86,874.- for Wakai - Ampana route is Rp47,962.- and for Gorontalo - Ampana route is Rp134,836.- The average ability to pay of service users is Rp102,632. The ability of service users to pay is still below the minimum tariff, so the status of the pioneer route cannot be converted into commercial.
