Abstract

Technological developments are always developing very rapidly at any time and have entered almost all sectors, especially in the agricultural sector. There are several start-ups that have developed in Indonesia, one of which is tropic, which runs a peer to peer lending system. Peer-to-peer lending is a new financial transaction platform that simplifies the conventional intermediation function by directly bringing together those who need funds with those who have excess funds. This study uses the case study method to obtain detailed data about Tropic’s strategy in developing its company and the influence of peer to peer lending services on Tropic in developing farming businesses. the data collection method used to research Tropic’s startups was in-depth interviews. The results showed that Tropic was very careful in selecting farmer partners to work with. Likewise with investor relations, Tropic seeks to provide project monitoring features on its platform in order to gain more trust for its investors.
